The poodins are excited because the windows are open!!!! It's been months, and we do mean months, since the windows were open at this house!!! It has been in the 50's to 70's or lower 80's here the last couple of days and Maw is WAY EXCITED!!!!!!! Whoo hoo! The house is open and life is good!

Easy Like Sunday

Here is Orinch, taking it easy on Sunday on Peggy's blanket that we purchased at a CB Auction. Lots of our poodins luf to lay on this blanket, as you can tell if you biggify the pitchur an' look at the fur akkumulashun. And no, Orinch won't let beans pet him yet.... But he lufs to snuggle wid Dorfie. Dorfie is the only poodin that Orinch allows close to him.

More New Fabrics!!!!!

So Maw went by JoAnn's this week and picked up a few more fabrics. We have a TON of FABRICS to make Ham-Micks!!!! We really must take Maw's plastic card away from her!!!

Hissing is Diminished

Some of the hissing has diminished. Dorf and Smokey slept on the same bed last night. Don't know if Dorf knew that Smokey was on the bed. With all the problems that Dorf had when he had his teeth removed, and the many many many times that he went to see the V-E-Ts with all the problems, he probably is not at all impressed with the way that Smokey smells. Plus, Dorf can't see very well anymore and may not recognize who Smokey is either.

Here is a picture of Smokey's surgery area. Smokey is drinking a lot since he came home, and the other cats keep hissing and spitting, and running from him. I feel sorry for him since it wasn't his fault that he went to the V-E-T and had an operation, and the poor guy was already traumatized as it was! Now the other cats are giving him trouble.

Smokey is Doing Well

Smokey's surgery went very well and the V-E-T does believe that it is only a Lipoma, and not a mast cell tumor, but he will send it off for a biopsy. Smokey will come home later this afternoon.

Today Smokey is having a Lipoma taken out of the area above his shoulder. Please send loving hugs and purrs and purrayers that all goes well and that it comes back as only a Lipoma and nothing else from the biopsy.

Easy Like Sunday

Here are Dorf and Smokey being a teensy weensy bit lazy on a Sunday morning.




So Maw is now laid off work, although when she took the job in January of 2009, she knew it would end, because she did the same job 10 years ago. It was a temporary job doing the US Census. She worked in the office doing just about the same thing that she did 10 years ago. So, now she is at home with us and plans to clean clean clean the house, and start a pet sitting business. Which means that she will be home with us more, and can clean up our pukes, and out-of-litter box experiences, and stop us from spats, and etc, etc, etc. Any of you with large amounts of poodins should be familiar with this scenario. And Smokey needs to get a Lipoma cut out. The v-e-t believes that it is not a mast cell tumor, and will send it off for a biopsy. And Smokey is now on prednisolone because he keeps yacking, and Maw gets a wee bit tired of hearing him yacking in the middle of the night because he has IBS. And G.T. keeps having an open wound on his face because his shots for his allergies just aren't working as well as they once were, and he keeps scratching this one spot on his cheek, and it gets bloody and yucky, so he has to go get a shot at the v-e-t way too often. And Jenny is getting way too skinny, and doesn't take her thyroid medicine real well because she doesn't always eat all of her tuna joose every morning which is where the pill is dissolved and waiting for her to drink it up, and technically she should have her thyroid medicine twice a day, but that won't happen, and she is 16 1/2 now. And they are opening a Joann store in Rockwall next year so Maw is very happy about that because now she doesn't have to drive to Plano to buy fabrics for Ham-Micks anymore. And, Maw plans to have us posting a little more often than on Sundays because she will be home efurry-day!!!
