It's 8% in the province of Ontario (where my humans lived before they were posted to Germany) and it's 18% here in Germany! Plus, in both places, there is a lot of income tax too. So 8.25% sounds really low in comparison!Dragonheart, Merlin, Devi, and Chloehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01652390127171754506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4096024807843208191.post-62485805296783147732007-06-01T01:56:00.000-04:002007-06-01T01:56:00.000-04:00Mom's flown through the Dallas airport many times,...Mom's flown through the Dallas airport many times, but never spent any time in Dallas, although she has Houston and Galviston. So I'm familiar with the East side of the loop. There are so many great places. I took Sean when he was a baby to that private zoo that is downtown, I can't remember the name but it was really nice. And then there is a place to shop and tour, I think it was the Cadillac Station or Street or something like that. Does that sound familiar? Anyway, Dallas is a great city!!! Sean's even seen a Neurosurgeon at the Children's Hospital there. If you've ever been, the TRAIN room is his ultimate place to visit!!! I highly recommend a stop the the Hopsital just to veiw this amazing atrium full of mountains and trains and villiages!Oscar the Puppy Cathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05597514826409544712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4096024807843208191.post-13029289792928926002007-05-31T16:15:00.000-04:002007-05-31T16:15:00.000-04:00We have a state income tax, a state, county and ci...We have a state income tax, a state, county and city sales tax and high property taxes. And every April they raise the value of your property and then brag that they only raised the property tax .5%, then they add fees on to the water bill fur "snow removal" and "garbage fees". They think we're idiots, that's why dad is looking to move to Ten-a-see.Zippy, Sadie, Speedy and M'Geehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05278705867488184953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4096024807843208191.post-73312762461975663432007-05-31T14:51:00.000-04:002007-05-31T14:51:00.000-04:00that still just boggles my mind about watering you...that still just boggles my mind about watering your foundation...

we have coyotes here, too.

That sales tax is really high - but we have to pay state income tax, so I guess it balances out.
