We took Smokey into the V-E-T this week and he had some blood drawn. His white cell count is in the middle of the range, so he is doing a little bit better on the various medicines that the poor boy is getting daily. We are reducing the chlorambucil to once every two days, then once every three days. He was getting it every two days. He is still getting 2 prednisolone 5mg tablets daily, and also a metoclopramide 5mg tablet daily. He doesn't puke even close to what he was doing. It is about once a week now. And, he has gained a pound! Which is great news, because once the cancer takes over, he will be losing weight. So right now, Smokey is doing a bit better. But he really doesn't like taking his medicine. We feel very sorry for the little man.

ReplyDeleteAww, poor Smokey, we feel sorry for him too. We know he's getting the best care, but it's so hard and of course we don't really understand the reason, when our humans give us all kinds of yucky meds.
