Grey is doing much better. Here's what his Mom said:
We took Grey for his check-up EKG on Monday. The Dr was very impressed w/ his improvement. His heart is stable, beating at 120 as opposed to the 240 it was beating when he first went in there on Feb 20th. He was also impressed w/ the responsiveness in his rectum & his legs. His blood work was good too, there were only 2 things a little concerning. He's a little anemic, so they gave us a liquid vitamin to give him once a day & his TSH was a little on the high side, 5.4 & 5.8 is the highest acceptable, so they did a T4 only test & will call us today w/ those results to see if we need to increase his thyroid medicine to 2 full tablets a day instead of the 1 & 1/2.
Grey also has quite a bit of muscle deterioration in his hips. They think he is a candidate for physical therapy, so Mike & I are meeting w/ the physical therapist next Thurs for the initial consultation to see if he is a candidate. I'll let you know what they say.
We've discovered that Grey can "walk" if we hold his hind legs & let him walk on his front legs. He gets very happy when we do that because now he gets to go where he wants to instead of where we think he wants to go. He actually starts to purr when he's "walking" around. It's sooo cute. Hopefully the physical therapy will work & he will be able to walk on his own, soon. :)
So he takes 1/2 a beta blocker twice a day
thyroid twice a day
blood pressure, 1/4 tablet once a day
Pavix, 1/4 tablet once a day
liquid vitamin/mineral once a day
We'll update y'all on what the physical therapist says.Maw has to go watch a sticky person today. We won't be able to visit blogs. We are behind by like a hunnert responses, so we must apologize for Maw's lack of help.

We are glad to hear that things went well for Obi at the vet. That's good news about Grey too! :)
This is great! Obi is healthy and Grey is improving.
Bless Grey's folks!
Good job Obi!!!
Go Grey Go!
That is good news in both cases! YEAH!
Yay for Obi!
We are so happy to hear about Grey! We hope the PT does the trick.
Love,
Tazo
YAY Obi! i's glad they didn't steal you teefs!
oh we hope that PT will be able to help Grey.
It is so wonderful that there are beans in the world that go out of their way to help special cats.
We are glad the vet visits went well. Mommy says she's seen slings used to help woofies who have trouble with their back legs, so they might have something like that for Grey. We are still purring for him!
Hooray for Obi! And I am so glad that Grey is doing much better and learning how to "walk" in a special way. Pixie's heart rate, even on all her medicines, usually stays between 200 - 250.
Glad for no FORLs for Obi, and thanks for the Grey update!
Hope Maw gets some "me" time sometime soon!

Great news Obi that you didn't get torchered, and we're happy to hear that Grey is doing well too. We are behind on our commenting too. It's mum's fault. She's all behind wiv her emails and sez she has 1001 to catch up on, or that's what it seems like.
Does Grey need wheels for his back end so he can get around? Like they do for weiner dogs.
We can never catch up on responses, though we try ... we are failures in this regard.
That's great news about Obi!
Dat is great news about Obi and Grey! Our mom haf not been a big help lately either. We read but don't always comment cuz she sez "I don't haf time" but she has time to play outside!
oh wow, that is so cute that Grey can walk around with your aid, and he is obviously very grateful, the purring is a sure sign of that! I don't envy his pill schedule though, I'll stick to my 2 x 1/4 Prepulsid a day and my steroid every other day! xxx
Obi is very brave to go through so much at the v-e-t, I think. I'm very proud of him for acceptin' a new way of walkin' around-it takes a very stout heart to try such a new thing!
That is such good news about Obi - Mum says that he looked pretty gorgeous and healthy in his last photo, although she has a soft spot for orange kitties...We're so glad to read such positive news about Gray and we'll keep purring and purraying and sending pawsitive thawts to help him keep on getting better so that he can walk around on his own - we poodins do like out independence after all.
