Obi 2002-2013
Obi
crossed over The Bridge this afternoon. His kidneys were gone. He was
only 11 years old, and I didn't expect to lose him this early. But he
has had kidney problems since 2004 when he had his penile urethrostomy.
And he has had UTI problems over the years. Obi had lost 3 lbs. since
January, and his BUN and creatinine numbers just increased so quickly.
He was getting sub-q fluids daily, and was on various medicines, and we
even saw a specialist last Wednesday. But his numbers were really
elevated today from what they were on Wednesday. It was time to give him
his peace and allow him to run free.
This is really difficult
since Jenny just crossed The Bridge on Friday. Losing 2 kitties within 4
days of each other is very sad.
There are now only 6 cats in the house of Forty Paws. There used to be 10.

Our condolences and purrs to you - this must be so sad to lose two such beautiful, magnificent members of the family so quickly, and the place must feel so empty, and hert breaking. Obi let you know it was time though and you gave him the peace he deserved. Sometimes bodies just fail the spirit.

We are purring our little hearts out for you Merceda, we are so sorry that Obi has gone. This must be unbearably hard for you to endure so much loss in such a short space of time. Even when our furry family members have been unwell for a long while, we still hope for more good life for them. It is always too soon for us to lose them.
Obi was a such a handsome lad, he will be running free with Jenny now amongst so many good friends at The Bridge.

I'm so sorry to hear about Obi!!! It is hard enough to lose one of our babies, but to lose two in such a short time is just awful. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.
Such a terrible few days for everyone there. I'm sorry this had to happen at all, but for two to go without the chance of recovery from one is very hard. My condolences to you.

Oh dear Forty Paws Family, we were so sorry to hear about losing Jenny and then Obi so close together. We are still so sad about Willow going to the Bridge March 30th and are sure that she was there to greet both Jenny and Obi.
