Yesterday was only 95F here! Whoo hoo! It was so nice and cool outside!!!! We didn't get any rain at our particular domicile from Edouard the Tropical Storm, but the cooler temps were ever so nice.
Reno's eye (yesterday's picture) is permanently scarred from the Herpes virus and won't get better. We considered taking him to the opthamologist but we wouldn't be able to treat him once we got him back home, so that wouldn't work. Since he was in the crazy cat lady's garage in a cage for 11 months, he is more timid and shy than his 2 brothers and sister. He is the first cat that we catch for nail trimming each month because if he finds out what we are doing, then he will hide from us for several weeks. So we catch him first (usually when he is sound asleep) and trim his toes, then we can do everybody else after him. He meows with each toe cut on himself. Poor guy.
So Maw saw the neurologist guy yesterday and he told her there didn't appear to be any sound reason for her stroke. Although Maw still thinks it was this one OTC pill she was taking in addition to her other medications that pushed her over the edge... At any rate, the neurology dude put her on Lipitor to drop her LDL cholesterol by 20 points. And Maw's cholesterol is within range, but he wants her LDL to be down to 80 points. He said with cardiologists, they want the LDL down to 60. Maw is like, well good grief. And he wants Maw to come back in 3 more months to see him again. And he wants Maw to have a complete physical done yearly. And he wants Maw to wait at least another 3 months to have her sinus surgery done. Maw said getting old sux.

Memes
Well, we're behind on several Memes that we were tagged to do. So we're doing them all today. And we're not tagging anybody because most efurrybody has already been tagged.
Bliss and Vinegar tagged us back in July for 8 Random Facts about us. We're gonna let Maw answer this Meme since 8 times 10 would be 80 Random Facts and she would get writer's cramp doing all that dictation for us.
1. We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
2. Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

The most random facts about Maw…
1. Maw was in the US Air Force for 4 years many, many eons ago.
2. Maw was raised in Indianapolis, spent 10 years in Omaha, and then moved to Dallas.
3. This is Maw's favorite web site: Tom Grisak Estate Homes She loves to go here to drool.
4. Maw loves Frappacinos from the bottle. She had to limit herself to 2 per day because she had a very big weight gain when she drank 4 per day.
5. Maw and her cousin used to dream about having an animal sanctuary when they were little girls. They said they would take in every stray animal they could find.
6. Maw and Paw were married on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. She planned the whole thing over the internet and they had an "untraditional" ceremony on a private estate and didn't invite anyone. The guitarist and the photographer were witnesses.
7. Maw loves the mountains and would love to retire in the middle of nowhere with mountains all around.
8. Maw would be perfectly happy to be a hermit as long as she had internet access.
And Flynn from Eric and Flynn tagged Obi for a Meme back in July also.
What were you doing 10 years ago? I was living my life as a squirrel attempting to reach my highest spiritual potential, not realizing that I would need to reincarnate many times over to learn life's lessons.
What were you doing a year ago? Sleeping outside in my enclosure in the August heat.

Five things you would do if you had a million dollars: I would buy a ginormous house with stairs so that we could each have a room and we could play thundering herds of elephants up and down the stairs and we could each hide in our own rooms. Behind the house would be a ginormous shelter for unwanted poodins. And I would educate stoopid beans to get their cats and dogs fixed.
Five bad habits: Whapping other poodins on the head when they look at me. Jumping on Maw's lap when another poodin is already there. Sticking my head in the food bowl when another poodin is already eating. Whapping Annie on the head when she jumps on the sink. Taking over the Kitty Teaser game when it's G.T.'s turn to play.

Then we were tagged by Storm, The Furry Fighter with the Middle Name Meme. We're only going to do one of us. We'll do Dorf. His name is Dorfington Fish Stanley. Stanley is not our last name, so we don't know why he uses that, but, whatever.
