Friday Update

Well, heer ist a picshur of Reno sunnin hiz furs in da winder. He sez a cat ham-mick ist efen bedder wid a 5 inch mat-trus on it made wid a foldeded blankie.

Meny ov youze comminted on da fact dat Maw brokededed da winder whilst kleenin it. Well, itz wun ov dem tilt-em owt winders fur eazee kleenin. Itz 20 yeers old an wen she tilted it, it kinda got stuckeded an wen she wuz tryin to git it unstuck, da metal thingee dat goez in da plastic thingee dat attaches to da spring thingee dat makes it go up n down brokededed. Da 2 winder places dat she wenteded to dint haf dat metal part. So she fowndeded it on da innernetz. But itz backordered now. It costzes more to ship da part dan da part costzes. Anyway, az long az she dunt open da winder, it dunt fall owt.

Also, we must commend owr deer furriends Zippy, Sadie and Speedy at Kattonic Cats becuz der Mom hast manajed to haf delikat sheer curtins fur 11 yeers widowt a poodin nor a woofie destroyin dem. But now owr deer furriend Speedy hast finally snagged da curtins. Owr Maw ist kwite amazed. Efurryting dat her an Paw buy fur dis howse is konsidered karefully fur it'z poodin durability. Nuttin ist expected to go undamaged fur bery long. We ist prowd to kontinyu dis tradishun. Maw wood put vinyl floorin in da hole howse if she had her way. All blindz an winder treatmints r only lowered 2/3 ov da way. Bow chewed up da orijnal metal mini-blindz yeers ago cuz he culdn't see owt. Maw paintz da wallz wid satin finnish fur eazy scrubbin. Maw put away her nice comforter cuz she kept haffin to take it to da lawndermat to wash in da BIG masheen. She gonna sell it in da garaj sale an git a thin quilt dat fits in her big masheen. She keeps a big stok ov lite bulbs cuz we nok ofer da lamps so much an da bulbs brake. Dis ist life heer at da Forty Paws.

Your Maw is a very wise woman. :)

That is very nice that Maw thinks of all the poodins while shopping. Chloe did the same think as Bow did to the the mini blinds. They all stay 1/3 of the way up now, too!
We switched to the compact fluorescent bulbs cause they don't break easily

That's a great bed. I'm glad your Mom didn't get hurt when that window broke!

Our house is the same way. Well, except we used to have nice, breakable stuff on shelves (before the twins came long). Mom figured out pretty quick that kitties can reach lots of stuff that dawgs can't, so she put all that stuff away. We think it's neat that your maw makes sure everything's kitty-proof before it even comes in the house. Our Mom said she'd much rather have us than a bunch of fancy, breakable stuff that can't cuddle with her.

I'm happy to hear your humans know who is really in charge! We don't really even have curtains (the Tall Man doesn't like them).

I like hearing what life is like at the Forty Paws house! My Mommie has had to make some changes too. Like, trying to buy leather furniture that can't get snagged (it just gets scratches instead) and no more fabric pleated shades, ever. But it is very very worth it.

ps: That is exactly what my Mommie and Daddie said when the generator and portable A/C unit were delivered: "Well, now there will not be any hurricanes this year!" Hahahahahahaha!

Thanks fur commending mom on keeping da sheers unsnagged but it wasn't reely her. She always leeves a gap in dem so we can get in and out of da window wifout touching dem (eksept we leeve our furs on dem alla time). Speedy went crazy cuz he thawt der wuz a bug on dem, it was reely a shadow of da raindrops from da post lamp. She din't see dem until da next day and she can fix it cuz he just pulled some threds and din't brake dem. Dey haz been snagged afore and she just pulls da threds back into place. Der reely furry sturdy! And she maded dem frum sum kinda material dat she can wash and dry and stuff.

Yup, yup, yup. The first question in this house before a household item is purchased is "can it survive a feline attack?" If the answer is no, it doesn't get bought.
We are so worth it though...

Wow, we haf those types of windows and mommy has to be very very careful when cleaning. we're very glad your mommy didn't get hurt.
It is very nice that your mommy puts your needs before hers. That is as it should be ha ha ha
Mommy feels bad your mommy has to sell her pretty quilt tho. Careful with those lamps guys, you may wind up with big frizzy furs if you knock them over wrong!
Thanks for the cool info on Bobcats. They are such neat kitties (I bet they'd tear up curtains too...)

Reno that is an excellent full Monty stretch you have going there!
Only Scout gets up where he shouldn't be. Right now he is fascinated with Mom & Dads dresser and all the neat things he can bet to the floor from there.

I love the window ledge bed. That looks furry comfortable. Mommy didn't have any problems with her curtains until the furballs came along. Now they are all hanging in a knot to keep them up out of the reach of the furballs.
