Saturday Wrapups

Grey Update: So Maw took a care package over to Grey this afternoon. It had Chick-Hen Pill Pockets in it, syringes for feeding and water, baby food, and a couple of cans of our stinky goodness since he has different stinky goodness. He recognized Maw and was sniffing her and he ate 2 Pill Pockets and would have eaten more if allowed. So that is good. Hopefully, he will eat them when his pills are in them! He also ate half a jar of lamb baby food. He didn't want to drink, so Maw showed his Mom how to give him water with the syringe. His Mom & Dad tried to give him an enema earlier, and he fought them and howled, so this might be good news. The V-E-T had said that if he gave resistance, then he was likely regaining feeling. His hind legs are also quivering now when he is getting his physical therapy. So let's hope the clot is dissolving! Keep purring and sending those Pawsitive Thoughts!

Today is the last day for the raffle to benefit Churchill. Then tomorrow we kick off a raffle to benefit The Meezers & their new baby brother Bill. Maw picked up the KYOOOOTEST fabric yesterday when she went to JoAnn's, and y'all are just gonna luf it. We'll post a picture of Dorf QAing that bed tomorrow. For now, here is a picture of Dorf QAing the bed that is presently being raffled.

In udder noos, we ist changing V-E-Ts to a more conservative approach V-E-T. We will explain in further deetale mebbe Munday or Toosday.

First of all, we will put our paws together for Grey. This has to be awful for him and for his loving family. We get leaky just thinking about how awful this must be.
Is your current VET surgery-happy? We've known a few of those types too and to this day Mommy misses our wonderful, fabulous VET we had to leave behind in Kansas City. The one we have now is not feline-specific and it sure does make a difference.
Dorf is lucky. You know why? If Mommy were there he'd be covered in Mommy-mush. Covered, I tell you! Tell Dorf that he needs to stay on the hammock and think "Win, Parker's Mommy, Win!"
Hee-Hee!

We're purraying double-time for Grey, and sending our pawsitive thoughts to him - our Mom got a little choked up when she read that he wasn't doing so good. We all just want him to get better, so he can enjoy hanging out with his family. Hope everyone (and everycat) likes your new vet, and we hope that they look after all of you special poodins very well. We also hope Sally and Smokey are doing okay after visiting the vet over the last week.

Oh, and we forgot to say, Dorf, you are one handsome tabby, and you're doing a great job on the QA for the hammick. Any bed tested by you has gotta be purrfect for kitties everywhere.

Prayers from us to Grey & his people. Having to take so many pills a day must be pretty stressful for the poor guy too. We just read an article about pills getting stuck in cats throats if they aren't taken with liquid, of if they are dry shot down the throat. One cat had a pill get stuck and it caused esophagus burning and another had about 5 pills all stuck together and the kitty could not breathe & was rushed to the vet.
With Grey taking so many pills we worry this could happen to him. Let his people know.Follow the pills with a syringe of water if they can. xxxoooo

Bean says instead of water you should make him drink fruit punch or apple cider (or juice) as it will help him with his pooping. I mean, if you're gonna force liquids anyway...
