NOOS FLASH!!! Lilly Lu, Mu Shue & Iris are alive!!! They were found hiding in their apt., and animal control will try to get them out tonight, but they have been left food and water. Otherwise, Momma Laura gets to go in tomorrow herself!!!! Now we need purrs that they are healthy since they have missed their medications and sub-q fluids and probably have inhaled a lot of smoke!!!!!

And now for some levity, here is another funny email that Maw received:

One Sunday, in counting the money in the weekly offering,
the Pastor of a small church found a pink envelope containing
$1,000. It happened again the next week!

The following Sunday, he watched as the offering was collected
and saw an elderly woman put the distinctive pink envelope on
the plate. This went on for weeks until the pastor, overcome by
curiosity, approached her.

'Ma'am, I couldn't help but notice that you put $1,000 a week in
the collection plate,' he stated.

'Why yes,' she replied, 'every week my son sends me money,
and I give some of it to the church.'

The pastor replied, 'That's wonderful. But $1000 is a lot, are you
sure you can afford this? How much does he send you?'

The elderly woman answered, '$10,000 a week.'

The pastor was amazed. 'Your son is very successful; what does
he do for a living?'

'He is a veterinarian,' she answered.

'That's an honorable profession, but I had no idea they made that
much money,' the pastor said. 'Where does he practice?'

The woman answered proudly, 'In Nevada. He has two cat houses,
one in Las Vegas, and one in Reno.'

This is another email funny that Maw received recently. We thought all you poodins and your beans might get a kick or a purr out of it....

The Four Cats!

Four men were bragging about how smart their cats were . The first man was an Engineer, the second man was an Accountant, the third man was a Chemist and the fourth man was a Government Employee.

To show off, the Engineer called his cat, "T-square, do your stuff."

T-square pranced over to the desk, took out some paper and pen and promptly drew a circle, a square, and a triangle.

Everyone agreed that was pretty smart.

But the Accountant said his cat could do better. He called his cat and said, "Spreadsheet, do your stuff."

Spreadsheet went out to the kitchen and returned with a dozen cookies. He divided them into 4 equal piles of 3 cookies ............

Everyone agreed that was good.

But the Chemist said his cat could do better. He called his cat and said "Measure, do your stuff."

Measure got up, walked to the fridge, took out a quart of milk, got a 10 ounce glass from the cupboard and poured exactly 8 ounces without spilling a drop into the glass.

Everyone agreed that was pretty good.

Then the three men turned to the Government Employee and said, "What can your cat do?"

The Government Employee called his cat and said.... "Coffee Break.....do your stuff."

Coffee Break jumped to his feet...........

ate the cookies.......

drank the milk..............

sh*t on the paper....................

screwed the other three cats.....................

claimed he injured his back while doing so..................

filed a grievance report for unsafe working conditions........

put in for Workers Compensation...............and

went home for the rest of the day on sick leave.............!!!!!!!!!!

Some of us poodins here at the Forty Paws luf turkey. We luf it wid gravy, we luf it widowt gravy. We luf it warm, we luf it cold. So, here is a new recipe dat Maw just received this morning:

Sure to bring smiles from your guests!
Here is a new way to prepare your Thanksgiving Turkey.

1. Cut out aluminum foil in desired shapes.
2. Arrange the turkey in the roasting pan, position the foil carefully. (see attached picture for details)
3. Roast according to your own recipe and serve.
4. Watch your guests' faces. ..

May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
