Gatsbi Update, Valentines

Gatsbi's bloodwork was very normal. Nothing is elevated. The V-E-T proclaimed that she is just fat. But Gatsbi isn't as impressed with the diet food as the other 9 cats here. And the V-E-T prescribed daily playtime with Gatsbi, even if it only includes her swinging her arms at a string. Remember, because of her neurological disorder, she can't run and jump at fevvers and such as other cats can. When I put her in a halter and take her outside, she lies down. Mebbe we need a stroller like Daisy has? At least she might get excited about going out. That might burn 10 calories.

Today will be very busy. We have to get all of our Valentines made to post for efurrybody that we are escorting to the Valentine Party. We hope we can keep it all straight since we are having multiple escorts from multiple households. This is kinda like being the homeroom mother and having to bake cupcakes for 10 classrooms. And helping address all those little Valentine cards.

YAY! for Gatsbi's bloodwork. Maybe the stroller idea will work. After I get back from a stroll, I want to go RIGHT BACK OUT again. So, I go and paw at the front door, howl, run back to my stroller, cry, run back to the front door, scratch at the door, cry, etc. I carry on like this for about 30 minutes.

Maybe a laser pointer dot would interest Gatsbi? My mammacat uses one and we love love love chasing it.
I'm furry glad that all bloodwork came back okay!

This is great news! I'm so glad. Except for the diet & exercise part...it sounds from what Daisy says that a stroller would be a good idea. Lotsa kitties like their stoller because they get to experience outside without actually "being" outside like on a leash.
The red dot is good too because you don't have to run fast to chase it or jump to catch it. Maybe she can slowly stalk it while you make it move across the floor....
Good luck with all your Valentines! I knew you'd all be sooo popular!

Yes, we call those cling-ons until they get left behind on the carpet (no pun intended)
After that they are crop circles!

Oh I am laughing! I think it would be neat if all 10 of you did it!!! Your beans would be upset, so you better not!

Maw -- I'm glad that Gatsbi's bloodwork came back ok.
How about one of those circle-rollerball thingies -- my Spooker likes to lie beside it and swat at the ball.
Jazper would like your fine ladies know that he is very excited about his dates for Valentines!

Well, thats good news & bad news isn't it?!
Shaggy is more accepting of his d-i-e-t this week. He has quit crying by the pantry door and trying to lead me to it every 5 minutes.
xxxooo to Gatsbi from all of us.

You had asked how the dog catcher got Monte...we don't know, the lady who worked at the rescue told us that the dog catcher was given him t put down, and thank goodness he couldn't, and we got to adopt him.
