I work for PETCO, we took this very seriously as soon as we heard and removed any related product from the shelves as a precaution as a safety measure for animals. I posted PETCO's information on my own blog as well:

Kittens can CLIMB fur sure. Mom tried a baby gate atween me an Bonnie fur awhile, but I just went right ofur it. Bonnie didn't try, so now Mom uses it if there are bisitors an she wants Bonnie to stay outa the lifin room. Bonnie loves to be in the middle of bisitors, first meowin, then growlin an hissin an swatting them!
I's 2 now, but I climb right up ofur the back of Mom's desk chair insteada goin round the side an jumpin up. Why? Cuz I's a cat!

hi kids! you do a good job getting the info out about stuff that could hurt us. thanks!

i really love your enclosure, and wish i could have one. i've been known to jump on railings, and so mama won't let me out on the balcony. mostly, i'm ok with staying inside. it's been nearly 14 years since i was an inside/outside kitty.

happy st patrick's day!

love,
suz

Jeez Lou eeze. -- that's a load of stinky goodness!

I'm glad we're over here in England where our food hasn't been recalled...yet.

Bonnie never once went ofur the gate; she just sat at it and demanded Mom or Dad to let her through. More dignified that way. An when we haf bisitors, she wants an excuse fur a dignified retreat; if Mom gifs her a "time out" in their room, Bonnie will settle on the bed an leaf the bisitors alone. But she won't remove herself! Bonnie's a head case, fur sure!
