Obi's Diagnosis

The pathologist says that Obi has IBD. Well, we knew that! He's been on pred for a few years. At any rate, we are going to try him on another immunosuppressant drug, and he will get a shot in his intestines to help calm it down some and we will see how this goes. He is starting to eat dry foods now, so he is feeling a bit better. He is having trouble jumping on things, and today he tried to jump onto a counter stool, and fell, and got his leg stuck in the stool's leg opening, and was howling. Luckily, Maw was right there to rescue him. Bless his little heart.

Thank you for all of your purrs and purrayers and hugs during this difficult time! Please continue to purr for Obi so that he can get back to a somewhat normal state.

Purrs to Obi from us! Does he eat canned food? Grain-free canned or raw usually is recommended for IBD, and usually with just one protein source. Good luck!

Well that is interesting. Are they taking Obi off the pred. Do you mean that he is getting dry food as opposed to canned food?? Sorry about the questions, but our Maggie seems to have diarrhea a lot. Our Holly who went to the bridge a month or more ago, had IBD and she was on pred and it really helped her. She was on the prednisolone which is a little different that the Pred. Sending lots more purrs to you Obi in hopes that you will get all better. Take care.
